Which player
TiviMate is the better experience if you also use an Android TV box — the same account, the same layout. IPTV Smarters is simpler on a phone. Both come straight from Google Play.

Use Xtream Codes login
Choose the Xtream Codes option rather than M3U URL. It pulls the channel guide automatically instead of making you add a second link. Paste the server URL, username and password from your activation email.

Watch the trailing space
Copying credentials from an email often drags an invisible space along with them. It is the single most common reason a login fails on first try.

Battery and heat
Sustained 1080p will warm a phone and drain it quickly. For a full game, plug in.
Mobile data, honestly
Roughly 1.4 GB per hour at 720p and about 3.6 GB per hour at 1080p. A three-hour hockey game in 1080p is therefore around 11 GB — enough to end most Canadian mobile plans in one evening. On cellular, drop to 720p or lower in the player settings, and save 4K for Wi-Fi.
